Separators and degasifiers
Separators and degasifiers are used for protection of boilers, heat exchangers, cooling circuits, pumps and armatures against clogging with sludge and for removing free gas particles and oils from circuits.
Description of function:
Separators and degasifiers remove solid particles from the liquid at the tangential input and at the increased input speed. Separation takes place in the cylindrical vessel as a result of the centrifugal force and the difference between specific weights of impurities and flowing liquid. Impurities fall down along the cylindrical part of the separator into the lower space, from where they are cyclically discharged. A gas-escape valve is fitted in the upper part of the degasifier, which vents automatically gases released from the liquid. The separator is equipped, as a standard, with a ball valve and counterflanges for discharging sludge. The control of sludge discharge in automatic mode is supplied as above-standard equipment.
